Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner to join a forward-thinking team responsible for providing diagnostic assessment and time-limited support for children on the autism spectrum across Hywel Dda University Health Board.

The Neurodevelopmental Service is a small, friendly and supportive multi - disciplinary team, consisting of highly dedicated, motivated professionals sharing a common vision to improve service delivery and outcomes for autistic children, young people and their families.

We are an integrated service across specialist CAMHS and work closely with our Child Health colleagues and partner agencies across the 3 counties.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to contribute to and undertake diagnostic assessments, time limited pre- and post-diagnostic support interventions for children, young people and their families, within the Children's Neurodevelopmental service. This will be under the direction and supervision of Band 7 clinicians.

The post holder will provide specialist advice and support to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency professionals and families working with autistic/neuro-diverse children or young people. The post holder will work as a member of the Multidisciplinary Neurodevelopmental Team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
