An exciting and challengingopportunity has arisen, in the Planned Care and Specialist Services Care Group within Hywel Dda University Health Board.
The post holder will work within the transformation team and report to the Transformation Lead - Planned Care. There is extensive collaboration with all staff disciplines across the 4 hospital sites therefore, regular travelling across the 4 hospital sites is required to support clinical teams, clinical services and administration.
Main duties of the job
Key areas of responsibility for this post include providing support to the Transformation lead in the management of the First Outpatient plan to include direct liaison with the National provider and workforce, linking with procurement, finance and ensuring quality, safety and governance as well as pro-actively participating in service development and improvement activities.
The First Outpatient plan is delivery of a national programme to reduce overall size of the waiting list in Wales targeting first outpatients.
You will require recent exposure to relevantmanagement or leadershipdevelopment programme, and proven NHS experience atmanagerial level. Previous experience of project management is desirable.
It is essential that you can work well in high pressure and mentally demanding situations and manage competing priorities. You will be a team player and able to work with senior managerial and clinical staff.
The post holder is expected to demonstrate clear leadership skills and develop effective working relationships with clinicians, nurses, AHPs, administration and managers throughout the Health Board and wider NHS community, as required.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
