Job summary
Hotel Services are currently looking to recruit individuals who would like to join a busy and committed department in providing portering services to cover all wards and departments. The successful candidates will play an integral role within the organisation.
We are seeking to appoint Porters to join our well established team. This will mean being available to work day shifts and night shifts, and having flexibility to alter shifts if necessary to support the needs of the service. There will be a requirement to work weekends and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
Duties will be varied, including patient transfers between wards/departments, waste handling, responding to security concerns, and furniture moves. There will also be mortuary duties.
The successful candidates will have full training when they start, and this will include Moving and Handling, Fire Training and training in methods of restraint. There will also be training in the use of the electronic Helpdesk.
