Radiology Support Worker

Job summary

This post is a Fixed Term/ Secondment until 25.08.2026 to meet the needs of the service. If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.

We are looking for a conscientious and caring person to join our team as a Radiology Support Worker within the radiologydepartment at Glangwili Hospital.

This is a 22.5 hour part time post which will include long days/ lates/earlies between 8am and 8pm including weekends/bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

It is essential that you enjoy working with people and have great communication skills.

You must have patience and be methodical, work well in a team but have the ability to take initiative and work individually.

Duties include:

Assisting the Radiographers working in the clinical areas.

To perform clerical and administration duties.

To assist patients to prepare for CT and MRI scans.

Supporting the radiographers and patients during and after radiology procedures.

Cleaning and general hygiene tasks in the department.

Stock-taking and ordering of designated consumables.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
