An exciting operational management opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead the Catering function at Prince Philip General Hospital and community sites within the locality.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and experienced operational manager to be responsible for the delivery and management of Catering Services.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for the operational management and delivery of high quality, cost effective Catering Services throughout the locality. This includes ensuring that all aspects of catering services are delivered in accordance with all Food Safety and Food Hygiene statutory requirements.
They will have lead responsibility for operational management and direct input into the strategic management of Catering Services.

- City + Guilds 706/1+2 or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of a range of procedures and practices relating to management and provision of food services, safety regulations and staff management acquired through professional catering qualifications to degree level or equivalent experience
- Understanding of a range of catering practices and procedures requiring an advanced level of theoretical knowledge, in legislation and statutory obligations and The Food Hygiene Regulations 1995.
- Knowledge of computer programmes, including Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Desirable
- Train the Trainer/PGCE qualification or equivalent
Experience

- Experience working at supervisory level in large scale catering.
- Has a proven track record in the management of diverse catering operations
- Evidence of operating at a level that demonstrates applicants ability to work on own initiative to achieve results and meet tight deadlines and budgets
