If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time (22.5 hours) Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a busy Specialist Palliative Care Team (SPCT) in the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire. This is a chance to join a team that are passionate about delivering the first-class palliative and end of life care.
The post holder will possess exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence, being able to skilfully and sensitively communicate with patients, families/care givers and allied health professionals. You will share the team's passion and ethos for improving and enhancing care for patients and their loved ones through proactive, compassionate care, education, service improvement initiatives, research and audit.
You will join a team of dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialists, Consultant/Speciality Doctor, Therapists and the wider MDT in providing expert, high quality patient focused care.
We can offer training opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills and offer monthly restorative clinical supervision to support you in your role.
Main duties of the job
This post is advertised as a Band 7 and ideally candidates for this role must have achieved the MSc level study in specialist area or equivalent experience / training in specialist area.
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist nursing care, advice, guidance and leadership, and to take responsibility for a specialist nursing service (as required).
You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidenced-based nursing care and provide expert advice and clinical practice.
You will be able to work autonomously and manage our own workload whilst leading and managing a team of specialist nurses, providing specialist education and training.You will be expected to work collaboratively and co-operatively with clinical colleagues to develop services and the quality of care delivered, providing leadership in the development of clinical services within the specialist field.
You will at all times demonstrate the Health Board's values and ensure that others demonstrate the same values.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
