Job summary
We have two posts available. These appointments are offered as permanent posts as per details in the advert, and your principal place of employment being either Bronglais Hospital or Glangwili Hospital, although other working locations including off site working may be necessary and will form part of your agreed job plan. This will be subject to change as the Health Board's clinical requirements are amended to meet the needs of the service/patients.
Main duties of the job
The role is for a Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology dealing with a wide range of ophthalmic diagnoses, high volume cataract surgery, IVT and emergency eye casualty
To work as part of the service for Ophthalmology to the hospital and community, designated with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmological and associated conditions.
You will contribute to 1:7 on call rota during the week and 1:7 on the weekends where cover expands to encompass the whole of the Health Board catchment area.
