Job summary
The University Health Board MSK Physiotherapy service is continuing to work as a fully integrated pathway and as part of this vision, the post holder will be required to work within the Core Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy team and the Clinical Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment Service (CMAT). As part of this role the post holder will work closely with Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners in primary and secondary care.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who has proven leadership skills and significant experience working within the MSK field- specifically with experience of requesting investigations (bloods and radiology).
Main duties of the job
This is a split role within the Core MSK Physiotherapy service and the CMAT service. Three days will be Core MSK where the post holder will contribute positively to the continuous service development, and will draw on extensive experience of assessing and treating acute and chronic MSK conditions.
Two days will be within CMAT, where the post holder will hold clinics that provide a single point of access for musculoskeletal conditions where diagnosis is uncertain (but no serious pathology considered). To achieve this, the post holder will possess the skill set to assess, diagnose, refer for diagnostics and treat complex orthopaedic musculoskeletal conditions.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
