An exciting opportunity has arisen at Withybush General Hospital for a Pharmacist with drive and ability to become part of the dynamic Pharmacy Team. You will work in a supportive environment with training opportunities, to build on your foundation skills and develop your expertise.
We are committed to developing and training our staff and you will join our dynamic admissions team providing pharmaceutical care to the Emergency Medicines Service.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop 'Front door' secondary care pharmacy in partnership with the Acute Medical team working in the Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care and the Adult Clinical Decision Unit focussing on clinical medicines optimisation through interprofessional review and shared-decision making upon presentation.
Withybush General Hospital is a busy district general hospital with approximately 240 beds. It provides a range of medical and surgical specialities including coronary care, acute stroke, trauma and orthopaedics, frailty, critical care and the emergency department. The clinical pharmacy service is well established and provides high quality care across all specialities.

Main duties of the job
You will be joining a team of experienced Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and you will be expected to work as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a patient focused clinical pharmacy service in all areas.
You will be working as a key member of the pharmacy team providing a clinical service to the Emergency Department and Clinical Decisions Unit. The team are an integral part of the MDT in front of house services
You will have the opportunity to develop your practice in a wide range of clinical areas in a small and friendly general hospital.
You will be supported in any ongoing studies including prescribing qualifications.
You will be expected to undertake the role of responsible pharmacist when working as part of the dispensary team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
