Hywel Dda University Health Board would like to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric Outpatient Department at our Withybush General Hospital site.
This is a 22.5 hour part time, permanent post. We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic NMC Registered Children's Nurse to join our friendly, supportive and experienced team working with children, young people and their families in our Paediatric Outpatient Department.
The post holder is expected to independently manage their own work and case load.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to independently manage their own work and case load within the paediatric outpatient department.
Managing day to day flow of the outpatient department. Accountable for the smooth running of the Paediatric Outpatients department, carrying out direct patient care and general duties.
Work as part of a Multi-disciplinary team in the Paediatric Outpatients Department.
Team leading when nurse in charge and problem solving.
Manage the Paediatric Outpatient department under the delegation of the Senior Charge Nurse.
Leading the HCSW team in development, practice and general skills for the department.
Ensuring health and safety standards are being adhered to
Overseeing the running of clinics and being visible to assist where needed.
Essential to the post is phlebotomy skills and willing to learn skin prick testing for allergy patients, facilitating nurse led procedures and nurse led clinics.
To ensure within their role a holistic approach to the patient, one which ensures family centred care and delivery of Hywel Dda University Health Board's core values.
