Job summary

This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to specialise your skills into Lymphoedema as full education and training in Lymphoedema will be provided. We are looking for an experienced individual who is ready to specialise and join a proactive thinking team. We are fullysupported by the National Team and Lymphoedema Wales who provide training and clinical support.

The post holder will form part of a team of Lymphoedema practitioners responsible for the delivery of lymphoedema services within Hywel Dda Health Board. This will involve working in collaboration with multi disciplinary teams (MDT) to deliver holistic care. The role involves working at various sites across Hywel Dda but predominately within Pembrokeshire.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for managing their own caseload which will involve providing assessment and management, education and support for patients with or potential risk of, developing lymphoedema. They will operate as an autonomous professional, with a high level of clinical and technical skill and expertise, using evidence based/ client centred principles to plan, implement and evaluate the management ofclients with lymphoedema.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting service modernisation and development. This will include involvement in research, audit and service evaluation processes.

The post holder may be required to participate in the provision of a flexible 7 day service, based on service need.
