Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker to join the team at South Pembrokeshire Hospital's Sunderland Ward.

This is a 40-bed unit focussed on rehabilitation of the elderly. Both services are led by a consultant. Admissions are accepted by the community general hospitals.

The team work alongside community, primary care and the acute sites to develop an integrated rehabilitation approach to promoting patient independence and best outcomes for discharge.

Main duties of the job

The candidate should be able to demonstrate some experience with working with the elderly and understand the principles of rehabilitation nursing.

Full time or part time hours are available.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post, however we welcome applications in English or Welsh.

48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

  • Level 2 in care or Ability to undertake a period of Induction and on the job training to include theoretical knowledge of care and a range of work related procedures, for example completion of a competency based workbook equivalent to Level 2 vocational qualification
