Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated member of staff to join the Continuing Healthcare team. The post holder will be supported by a Band 5 and will assist the team to deliver the team objectives.

The Health Board employs over 10,000 staff and has a budget of around £0.8 billion. We are responsible for the operation of four district general hospitals other acute and community hospitals, and a network of health centres, clinics, community health team bases and mental health units. In addition, it also coordinates the work of GP practices and NHS services provided by dentists, opticians and pharmacies.

Main duties of the job

The key duties of the post are: -

Prepare weekly reports

Undertake monthly reconciliations

Assist with month end process

Provide support for year end process

Maintain and update National Complex Care Database

Liaise with Local Authorities in relation to queries, recharges and pooled budgets

Assist in ensuring processes within the Continuing Healthcare section are transacted in the most efficient and effective manner

It is essential that candidates have minimum qualifications requirements, previous accounts experience and IT skills, particularly spreadsheets.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Two integrated care centres (Aberaeron and Cardigan, Ceredigion).

Community facilities, including:

48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
