An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Respiratory Healthcare Assistant to join the community Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist team in Pembrokeshire. We are looking for experienced healthcare assistant/s who have a passion for/experience of respiratory nursing.

Various part time hours are available (up to 30 hours per week)..

Main duties of the job

The primary focus of the role is to support the Respiratory Nurse in providing a spirometry clinic service within the community, delivering accurate and comprehensive spirometry to ensure accurate diagnosis for patients leading to appropriate treatments. Excellent verbal/written communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.

The respiratory nursing team provide specialist nursing knowledge and skills for people diagnosed with respiratory conditions. They provide multidisciplinary care planning and care interventions designed to reduce hospital admissions, with the ultimate aim of improving patient outcomes. The team work closely with respiratory consultants, multi-professional respiratory colleagues, primary care, and community based nursing teams/services.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
