We currently have exciting opportunities for highly motivated doctors to join us at Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth. The vacancies are within our General Medicine department, supported by resident doctors.
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic doctors with specific interests in Acute Medicine, Medical Oncology and Stroke Medicine, although all specialty interests will be considered.

Applications are invited for the above posts for a period of 2 years with a view to this being made permanent if mutually desired and subject to satisfactory review. The broad training will encourage motivated appointees to be supported in progressing through CESR route.These posts are a key part of the strategic plan for providing safe, high quality and sustainable services to the population of Mid Wales.Bronglais General Hospital provides a broad range of services in General Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Trauma and Orthopaedics. The Anaesthetic and Critical Care Team interface with all specialties and provide a state of the art, consultant delivered ITU service.Bronglais General Hospital is a 165 bed acute hospital that serves a core population of 125,000 in a geographically large and sparsely populated area.The Health Board has University status with strong links to the Swansea & Cardiff Universities to promote research & development and multi-professional teaching. We recently appointed our first Chair in Respiratory Medicine into the Health Board, with further appointments for the future, and we are the first Health Board in Wales to appoint Bevan Commission Fellows. This initiative programme aims to engage and capture the enthusiasm and commitment of our up and coming clinicians in Wales in addressing Prudent Health Care.

- Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
