Job summary
This role will be based in the Financial Accounting Team, mainly dealing with balance sheet reconciliations including Payroll and Pharmacy as well as investigating any reconciling items. Please refer to page 6 of the job description for Financial Accounts Assistant.
Main duties of the job
The key duties of the post are:
- Plans and organises own workload to ensure all transactions are dealt with in timely manner.
- Undertake monthly Balance sheet reconciliations using Blackline software for payroll deductions, pharmacy.
- Investigates any reconciling items on the reconciliations.
- Provides cover for processing payments and updating the cash book including CHAPS payments.
- Assists in the process improvement agenda and ensures processes within the Financial Accounting section are transacted in the most efficient and effective manner.
- Provides cover for the calculation of provisions in relation to Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Redress, including completion of control account reconciliations through blackline.
- Support the production of Annual Accounts including the production of working papers and notes.
It is essential that candidates have minimum qualifications requirements, previous accounts experience and IT skills, particularly strong spreadsheets skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
