Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Health Care Support Workers to join our compassionate, friendly and forward thinking team on Rhiannon ward in Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth . Rhiannon ward is a 14-bed elective surgical ward of all specialities ,within it is a 3 bed bay admitting patients post surgery of various specialities that require Enhanced Care. The successful candidate will also be expected to work in both areas but predominately in the enhanced care unit.
Rhiannon ward demonstrates a supportive and encouraging environment with an opportunity to learn many new skills within an acute setting, whilst working alongside the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and contributing to high quality care and intervention.
The successful candidates will be working as part of a ward-based team assisting in the delivery of a high standard of nursing care, acting in a professional manner at all times. The post holders will work as part of a team of ward-based nursing staff and will be required to carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and non-direct care for the benefit of the patient, and will be in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse. Training will be provided as appropriate to the candidate.

The successful candidate will be expected to work within the job description, expected to deliver a range of basic nursing duties to patients, ensuring that privacy, dignity and respect are maintained at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
