Job summary
Working in a passionate and dedicated team and in a busy environment you will work alongside a mix of Consultant/Locum Consultant, specialty doctors, clinical nurse specialists and an Advanced Pharmacist.
You will be expected to undertake outpatient clinics, consisting of inflammatory conditions, paediatric dermatology and skin cancers, participate in the skin Cancer MDT, clinicopathlogical meetings and clinical audit. There are also strong links with Swansea and the rest of the SBUHB NHS Health Board, for regional skin cancer MDT meetings, interesting patient clinics, clinical research, and teaching. well as attending MDT and business meetings.
This post is designed to meet the need for flexibility and teamwork in the department as well as continuing professional development with the view to fulfil future Locum Consultant vacancies.
Main duties of the job
Delivery of a first class clinical service
Outpatient and inpatient management of patients with dermatological diseases.
Dermatological emergencies.
Provision of teledermatological support/management advice.
Contribution to the CPD of the GPs in working in Primary and Secondary Care in Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
Provision of clinical guidance and support to Dermatology Specialist Nurses working within the Region.
Ability to act on results such as histories and other pathology results
Compliance with clinical governance
To undertake all work in accordance with the Health Board's procedures and operating policies
