Job summary

Staff wellbeing is a key priority in Hywel Dda and the Staff Psychological Wellbeing Service provides specialist professional support to the organisation. We focus on promoting and enhancing the psychological wellbeing and mental health of leaders, staff and teams across the Health Board, working as part of a skilled wider Organisational Development team.

This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated and enthusiastic Psychological Therapist / Counsellor to expertly lead our team of practitioners and contribute to systems working to support workplace wellbeing.

The role is rewarding and varied, and includes managing a small team of practitioners, leading the 121 service provision.You will be able to apply and develop your skills and confidence in effectively leading other practitioners, enabling our trusted service to adapt and evolve on the basis of feedback and outcome data.

Main duties of the job

Your post qualification experience in multi-disciplinary client work with adults will underpin your own clinical work, including assessment and brief solution-focused work.

You will also contribute to systemic team and organisational initiatives that help create the right conditions for wellbeing at work, and contribute to our suite of wellbeing workshops and educational programmes.You will be motivated and keen to work systemically, contributing to team interventions with the skills and confidence to effectively facilitate group and team sessions both online and in person.

The main base for the post is to be agreed, but the post holder will be required to work across all our sites to lead the team and in accordance with service need.

About us

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
