Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cardiology Team at Prince Philip Hospital.
Applications are invited from efficient and suitably qualified individuals for the post of a full time Band 4 Medical Secretary within the Cardiology Team based at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.
Main duties of the job
Working 37.5 hours per week, the successful candidate will be required to support the delivery of a comprehensive and quality secretarial service to the Consultants and their teams.
You will undertake a wide-range of duties including receipt and distribution of mail, audio transcription, and the typing of highly sensitive letters and reports, maintaining confidentiality at all times, in addition to operation of the Health Board's patient database system. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent organisation skills and be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work. You must be able to work on your initiative, use tact and diplomacy where appropriate and possess excellent communication skills.
RSA Stage 3 Typing or equivalent in Word Processing and AudioTranscription and previous medical secretarial experience is essential for this post.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
