Job summary

Ward 6 is a 21 bedded Elective Orthopaedic Ward in Prince Philip Hospital.

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and innovative Health Care Support Worker to join our team on Ward 6. You will need to have an interest in Elective Orthopaedics and be committed to deliver high standards of patient care.

The successful candidate must be committed, have excellent communication skills, be able to work within a team and use their own initiative, maintain high professional care and have a flexible approach.

We always put our patients at the heart of everything we do and take pride in our unified team working ethos.

The successful candidate will be expected to work a rotation of day/nights shifts, and weekends, our shift patterns include working long days or short shifts, if preferred.

Main duties of the job

Ward 6 requires Health Care Support Workers who are keen to learn and able to adopt a flexible approach to work. There is an opportunity to learn new skills and develop professionally within a positive and challenging environment.

You will ensure that patients / clients receive safe, individualised, and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as directed by the registered nurse and/or therapists.

You will communicate effectively at all times and in conjunction with other team members, contribute to, and maintain the ward philosophy.

Experience is desirable but not essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
