Job summary

The Cardiac Diagnostics Clinical IT Systems Manager will be responsible for the daily management and support of the cardiology information technology systems within the Health Board including ultrasound image archives, cardiac rhythm management administration systems and archive and their integration to frontline equipment. This includes supporting application system upgrades and ensuring appropriate and cost effective maintenance contracts are in place.

In addition, providing first line support to users of cardiology IT systems,

Working closely with the Health Board's IT department and 3rd party system suppliers to maintain effective service delivery.

Establishing and maintain close working relationships with the Health Boards IT department is essential to assist the cardiology diagnostic service with integration to new and developing national and Health Board systems and processes. This includes assisting in evaluation of new systems.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the daily maintenance and continued operation of the Cardiac Diagnostic Information Systems: Change Health Care, Sentinel, SOLUS systems and other clinical technical services in order to deliver efficient and effective cardiac diagnostic and services to patients, clinicians and other clinical staff.

Support compliance with information governance rules and regulations for all systems and remote monitoring platforms within cardiac diagnostics and cardiac rhythm management.

Supporting data integrity and access to data and statistics.

Support the introduction of new equipment into the clinical environment by ensuring seamless communication and data transfer to existing cardiac informatics systems.

Support of service modernisation and performance improvement projects through the implementation of technology. This will include the evaluation, procurement and installation of systems and developing the service presence on the Health Boards intranet and communication platforms.

Lead on the production of standard operating procedures and documentation relating to cardiac diagnostic informatics systems. Support guidance and training in relation to cardiac diagnostics information systems.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
