Hywel Dda Health Board is seeking to appoint an Executive Director of Public Health who is ready to deliver a population health vision which is based on a citizen focussed planned system of healthcare in which delivery is rooted in the public sector and its values. Working with partners and engaging with local communities we will deliver continuous improvement across the whole health system, improving health and reducing health inequalities.
Main duties of the job
In addition to the core public health portfolio you will also be responsible for:-
o Being lead executive for the Health Board working with our Public Services Boardo Leading on the Well-being of Future Generations Act. o Lead Emergency Planningo Health Improvement & Wellbeing (smoking and alcohol services)o Children's health advocacyo Screeningo Immunisation

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
