Job summary
Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking for a talented leader who is driven, ambitious and passionate about patient care to work as a key member of the MHLD Senior Management Team as Head of Adult Mental Health. This involves community based services as well as out of hours provision.
Main duties of the job
This individual will need to have a desire to influence decisions and direction of travel within the Directorate, working in close partnership with senior clinical and managerial staff and key partners to promote and co-deliver strategic and operational initiatives and objectives.
You will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of effective leadership in respect of significant service change. To succeed in this role you will need to be able to build confidence across the organisation and work autonomously, whilst contributing to the co-design development and co-produced implementation of key Mental Health and Learning Disabilities service strategies.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:
Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;
