Job description

Job responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity not only for someone experienced in the expert delivery of CBT, but also for someone who has perhaps recently completed formal CBT training at a recognised establishment, or is about to complete such training. It will give the successful applicants the opportunity to consolidate learned skills by dedicating most of their working day to providing CBT in a highly supportive and supervised environment, which will help them significantly on their path not only to CBT therapist accreditation with the BABCP, but in developing their skills, competence and confidence as a CBT therapist. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they will be able to attain BABCP accreditation in no more than 12 months, as career progression would be dependent on this.

If you are in a position to attain your accreditation within 12 months of attaining the post you are welcome to apply as the post is advertised utilising Annex 21: Arrangements for pay and banding of trainees. This will mean that during a pre agreed time period (12 months maximum) whilst you are attaining your accreditation, you will be paid at 75% of the pay grade. Applicants will only be considered for this post under Annex 21 with evidence clearly indicated within your application form that they are in a position to reach the required accreditation, with the BABCP, within the specified period. Failure to achieve this in the designated timeframe could result in re-deployment.

You will be able to find a full job description and person specification attached within the supporting documents.

The Health Board is committed to supporting its staff to fully embrace the need for bilingualism thereby enhancing patient and service user experiences. In our commitment to increase the number of staff who are able to communicate in Welsh with patients and professionals, we welcome applications from Welsh speakers.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. If you do not meet the Welsh Language requirements specified, the Health Board offers a variety of learning options and staff support to help you meet these minimal desirable requirements during the course of your employment with us.

Interviews will be held on 06/04/2023.
