A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Weight Management Service in Hywel Dda University Health Board. We are recruiting for the role of part time Dietetic Assistant Practitioner.
This is an opportunity to work as part of an established, forward thinking, dedicated multi-disciplinary team whose core aim is the delivery of person-centred, compassionate and needs led weight management services to people living with obesity.
Working as part of the Weight Management multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will support dietetic input across the weight management pathway, helping individuals in managing their weight by providing one to one and group based interventions under the supervision and guidance of the Weight Management Specialist Dietitian and wider multidisciplinary team.

Ideally you will have experience working with people living with obesity and difficulties managing their weight and have an understanding of the challenges they face.
You should be able to demonstrate a person centred, empathetic approach and appropriate clinical reasoning skills, to enable you to assess and treat patients within specific pathways and protocols. Experience of working in group settings is desirable.
There will be regular supervision, training, and support from highly skilled dietitians to address learning needs and personal development. The post holder will be involved in delivery of interventions at level 2 of the All Wales Weight Management Pathway (AWWMP). These will be both one to one and group based interventions. Additionally the post holder will provide support to the wider multidisciplinary team delivering services at level 3 of the AWWMP.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
