Hywel Dda University Health Board have a vacancy for a Clinical Physiology Professional Service Manager, Band 8a in Neurophysiology.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced physiologists.
The self-contained Neurophysiology department is based at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen and offers extensive diagnostic services in EEG and Nerve Conduction Studies to both adult and paediatrics.
The current team consists of a part time Consultant Neurophysiologist and 4 Clinical Physiologists and Medical Secretary support.
Main duties of the job
Contribute to the management and development of the regional Clinical Neurophysiology Service across South West Wales to include service planning, policy developments, financial planning and delegated budget management.
Provides highly complex specialist Clinical Neurophysiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients of all ages from a range of specialities suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders including those which may be neurological and/or psychiatric in nature.
Accountable for the management and development of the Clinical Physiologists (Neurophysiology) and administration staff, including the organisation of clinical and non clinical work.
Undertakes education and training of Clinical Physiologists (Neurophysiology) and other professionals.
Contribute to the quality of the regional Clinical Neurophysiology service provision including audit, research and development, procurement and quality assurance of all equipment.
Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others to lead development of the Neurophysiology Service provided within South West Wales.
