Job summary

Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist - MSK Primary CareFull time position (37.5 hours) but will consider part time or Job share.

We have an exciting opportunity in Hywel Dda University Health Board with the development of a new Clinical Specialist role within the County of Ceredigion. This post will support the clinical delivery of the MSK pathway by working alongside GPs and MDT's in the primary care setting. It will support a cluster of GP practices in South Ceredigion.

Main duties of the job

The University Health Board is working towards developing a fully integrated pathway and as part of this vision, the post holder will be required to work closely with Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners in primary care, existing core MSK physiotherapy and Clinical Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment Services (CMATS). It will provide an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of physiotherapy practice, to develop strong clinical networks with primary care teams and to streamline pathways of care for our patients.

The successful candidate will support the clinical delivery of this service. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who has proven leadership skills and significant experience working within the MSK field. Full time hours are preferable. However, we will consider other combinations of working hours as part of job share arrangements if that supports full delivery of the required service.

  • Training at Masters level which includes a minimum of 60 accredited points, with clinical experience at an equivalent level
  • Requirement to undertake further master level training up to PGD level
