Job summary

Clinical Lead Dietitian in Adult Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. 0.8wte - 30hrs / week, open to flexible working.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic dietitian with a keen interest in mental health dietetics and team working, to clinically lead the delivery of high quality, impactful nutrition and dietetics as an integral part of adult mental health and learning disability services. You will be joining an evolving and dynamic mental health team with recent expansion in eating disorder services, and be fully integrated with, and supported by the wider nutrition and dietetic service.

You will benefit from good digital equipment and support, a well established dietetic service structure and will be joining a dynamic, friendly and supportive team. Relocation support may be available (dependent on your current location).

Main duties of the job

Provide Health Board wide clinical leadership in the delivery of the Nutrition & Dietetic service for adult mental health and learning disabilities.Develop and maintain clinical standards in line with best practice, working collaboratively with the wider dietetic leadership team to deliver excellent nutrition and dietetic care for people with mental health needs, or learning disabilities.Manage a highly complex and specialist caseload working autonomously and as an integral member of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams.Enable team members to manage caseloads effectively and efficiently, facilitate team working and support consistent standards of best practice.As the dietetic expert, take a lead role as appropriate in the development and implementation of nutrition related policy, guidelines, protocol, pathways, standards and services, working with the wider MDT as required.Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of dietetic services in adult mental health and learning disability.

  • Established clinical problem-solving skills
