Cwm Seren PICU is a locked 8 bedded unit that cares for males and females, it has a High Dependency area and Seclusion room.
Cwm Seren PICU is led by a Nurse Consultant who is the Responsible Clinician for the Unit. There is an MDT approach with a Speciality Doctor, Junior Doctor Posts, Nursing Team, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology integrated as key components of the MDT.
The Unit is a member of the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care & low secure units (NAPICU). The Unit endeavours to adhere to their values and core principles alongside Hywel Dda Health Board's organisational values.
Main duties of the job
There is an opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team who is interested in providing high quality, collaborative care, working in a MDT structure. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual who is able to work under pressure and join our dedicated team of staff within the PICU.
Care and treatment is provided through CTP with an emphasis on recovery, providing hope and optimism for the future, evidenced based interventions and Psychological Therapies.
There is opportunity to learn new skills and develop professionally within a positive and challenging environment. The rota involves a variety of shift patterns including day/night duty to suit service requirements
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
