Hywel Dda University Health Board is located in West Wales in an area of outstanding beauty. Our specialist child and adolescence mental health service (sCAMHS) has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Senior UKCP accredited Systemic and Family Psychotherapist (B8a) to join our service. This new role will ensure our well-developed and experienced Systemic Psychotherapist and Systemic Practitioners have a clinical lead who will offer operational management, supervision and training across the Hywel Dda footprint, as well as continuing clinically to support children and families accessing sCAMHS support.
The Post Holder will join a wider communities of practice with varied opportunities to develop their skills through joint working, research and leading the reflective team within the wider family therapy clinic.

Main duties of the job
The role has the following main components:
Clinical Supervision - Responsible, as the senior supervisor, for ensuring and providing clinical supervision for band 7 systemic and family therapists. Support the appropriate training of associate systemic and family therapists and training of Low Intensity Psychological Therapy Practitioners, across services.
Operational Management - responsible for day to day caseload and operational management of band 7 accredited systemic and family therapists and associate systemic and family therapists.
Consultation - To regularly provide advice, systemic consultation and training on client's psychological care to colleagues within the wider service.
Clinical practice - As a senior systemic and family therapist, to provide a qualified specialist systemic and family therapy service to clients, across the three counties. Ensuring suitable internal CPD events are held to meet the requirements for all accredited systemic and family therapists. Leading on CPD workshops for Systemic and Family practitioners. To support the S-CAMHS management duty rota in line with service demands. To work autonomously, with freedom to act, within professional guidelines and the overall framework of service policies, procedures and strategy. To be clinically accountable for service delivery within the service area. To implement the agreed service development and improvement within the service area.

- MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy - Qualification equivalent to Doctoral level
- To be registered with the UKCP - United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy
- Evidence of robust knowledge of the methodology of systemic and family therapy
- Knowledge of legislation and its implications for both clinical practice and professional management in relation to the client group and mental health i.e. Children's Act, Safeguarding Procedures
- Additional further study and specialist training in systematic and family therapy
- Understanding of the principles of clinical governance
- High level knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies
Desirable
- Supervisor's qualification
- Qualification in an additional psychological therapy
