Job summary
Cwm Seren Low Secure Unit is based in Hafan Derwen, St David's Park, Carmarthen and is a 14 bedded low secure unit with a 4 bedded "step down" facility for males age 18 or over which provides care and treatment for individuals with severe and enduring mental illness, with complex needs who pose a risk of harm to others.
The unit looks to achieve this following a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary approach with an ethos of achieving recovery and rehabilitation as our core focus. The principles of co-production, trauma orientated service engagement, citizenship and responsibility to promote hope for recovery in a secure environment.
The Clinical Lead Nurse will support the Team Leader in providing clinical support and leadership to nursing staff while also providing nursing care to patients in a Low Secure setting. Patients can be of all age groups as the service is not age specific.
Main duties of the job
There is an opportunity for a Band 6 Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team who is interested in providing high quality, collaborative care, working in a MDT structure. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual who is able to work under pressure and join our dedicated team of staff within the Low Secure Unit.
Care and treatment is provided through CTP with an emphasis on recovery, providing hope and optimism for the future, evidenced based interventions and Psychological Therapies.
The Clinical Lead Nurse will support the Team Leader in providing clinical support and leadership to nursing staff while also providing nursing care to patients in a Low Secure setting. Patients can be of all age groups as the service is not age specific.
Post holder has delegated responsibility along with MDT for the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing packages.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
