Job summary

The post holder will contribute to ongoing evaluation of organizational structures / systems to ensure the Specialist CAMHS Service provides an effective, efficient evidence based high quality modern service in line with Health Board Integrated Medium Term Plan (IMTP) and National Directives including the Together for Mental Health Delivery Plan.

The post holder will be responsible for the achievement of key Performance Standards in respect of the Mental Health Measure (Wales) and ensuring allocation of resources as a priority to ensure compliance within stated delivery times.

The post holder will ensure the service adheres to the principles outlined within the CAPA Service Model ensuring timely appointment for CHOICE appointments, coordinate the onward flow for Partnership (6 sessions) and / or Specific interventions in line with the SCAMHS Service pathway.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and monitoring of Care and Treatment Plans (CTP) ensuring all staff have the relevant training and children, young people and their families/ carers are fully involved in the care planning process and reviews.

Main duties of the job

Are you interested in a change of role to become a SCAMHS Team Manager in a multi-disciplinary team? - An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified professional with key management and leadership skills to undertake this clinical and operational management role within a dynamic and expanding S-CAMHS Service.

You will be a good communicator, able to manage a dedicated clinical workload, prioritise service objectives and support the multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high quality SCAMHS service.

You will be supported by Senior management team within a SCAMHS Service that is dynamic and rapidly growing with new investment from WELSH Government . Professional development will be supported by a service which is innovative and supports personal and professional development to ensure high quality services are delivered .

Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the locality S-CAMHS team ensuring the robust delivery of secondary mental health services in line with the S-CAMHS Service Specification, you will provide effective leadership for the team in the delivery of timely and prudent healthcare, supporting clinical staff and co-ordinating the delivery of the specialist services which complement the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the provision of a comprehensive mental health service.
