To work with an MDT provide OT assessment and intervention across 2 community mental health teams in south Carmarthenshire.
Occupational Therapist MH&LD exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 post for a suitably qualified Mental Health Occupational Therapist within the South Carmarthenshire Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) the post is split between Brynmair clinic in Llanelli and Swyn y Gwynt in Ammanford. Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the wider OT team delivering OT services to a defined client group in Carms Community Mental Health Services, and to the Acute in-patient ward when required.
The post holder will act as a care coordinator to a delegated caseload with defined Occupational Therapy needs, whilst Occupational Therapy intervention is being carried out, working creatively and constructively with Health, Social Care and Third Sector agencies.
Experience of delivering group work is desirable and you will have the opportunity to deliver the established 'Recovery Through Activity' programme being delivered in community settings.
Applicants must be willing to work over a 7 day week in line with planned service improvements.
The ability to manage time and prioritise workload is fundamental to effective service delivery.
