Main duties of the job
We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic innovator to the role of ANP within S-CAMHS. As we progress our service improvement program we see this important post as central to transform the way we provide support and treatment for children / young people and families. Furthermore, the role of facilitating learning for others will be pivotal within the role and the post holder will be part of the developing ANP workforce within HDUHB.
Applications are invited from highly motivated and experienced nurses with practical and theoretical knowledge of mental health assessment who have completed the Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification/registration and who are able to demonstrate both competency in diagnosis and treatment with S-CAMHS presentations. You will have established advanced knowledge of common and undifferentiated mental health presentations in S-CAMHS and provide autonomous and expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment.The role is 15 hours per week, the successful applicants will be required to undertake on - call duties with some flexibility of hours and occasional weekends. Advanced Nurse Practitioner within the service will work across all of the functions of S-CAMHS. All ANPs in Hywel Dda UHB will be supported to develop and maintain all four pillars of practice. - Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
- Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
