Older Adult Mental Health Clinical Fellow Community and Inpatient

Job summary

The successful applicant will join a forward thinking, motivated and enthusiastic Powys Mental Health Service, serving the population of Powys. The acute service in this rural area is undergoing positive change, which is actively shaping Powys services at present, and the role will be both varied and interesting. The post holder will contribute to the mental health service's aspiration to be the best, but in addition will enjoy the flexibility to develop area of interest.

The post holder may also participate in an on-call out-of-hours rota, for which additional payments will be made.

The post holder background should preferably have inpatient and community work experience and have an excellent knowledge of assessment and treatment of acute mental states and crisis work.

Candidates will be supported in obtaining section 12(2) approval and, if interested, in working toward attainment of MRCPsych examinations and CESR. There is support available to take courses and supervision including the support to develop roles of Approved Clinician.

Opportunity will be considered for successful candidates to work within different sub-specialties and varied clinical areas.
