Job summary

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 3 YEARS TO 31 March 2028 DUE TO FUNDING.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to be appointed as a GP Clinical Lead (0.4 WTE).

The role will provide clinical leadership for Health and Care Research Wales' primary and community research delivery programme.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills, have a positive and flexible approach to the needs of the Service, be motivated, ready for the next challenge and enjoy working as part of a very busy team.

The post may close early if sufficient applications are received.

Main duties of the job

These will include:

a specific responsibility as the national Specialty Lead for primary and community care for Health and Care Research Wales

responsibility for supporting the development of new models of research delivery and care pathways which bring research services closer to home, increase focus on prevention and wellbeing and integration of public sector services.

  • Qualified Medical professional.
  • Registration with GMC.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Post graduate medical qualifications.

Experience

  • Must be or have been practising GP or worked at Medical Consultant level.
  • Significant Organisational change experience/managing difficult and complex change.
  • A track record of achievement in effective performance management, introducing robust systems and processes and Facilitation of groups.
  • Undertaking sensitive negotiations.
  • Successful initiation and Facilitation of strategic partnership working and alliances.
