Job summary

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO SECONDMENT COVER.

Working closely with the Mental Health Partnership Manager, this post supports the delivery of the 'Hearts and Minds: Together for Mental Health in Powys' by ensuring the voice of people using services is heard in the design, planning and delivery of the mental health agenda led by PTHB.

Co-production is a critical area of work for Powys Teaching Health Board.

Deal directly with patients and public, commissioned Third Sector providers andother healthcare professionals either through face to face, telephone or correspondence, ensuring all feedback is handled appropriately.

Main duties of the job

Provide additional support for the individual representatives of the Mental Health Planning and Development Partnership to enable them to engage in Participation activity and associated meetings.

Lead the 'Engage to Change' work stream of the Mental Health Planning and Development Partnership including organising meetings, managing agendas, taking minutes, facilitating action planning and producing the Mental Health Planning and Development Partnership Annual Report.

Report to the Mental Health Planning and Development Partnership onparticipation activity/co-production and any outcomes of engagement work.

Essential

  • Educated to HND in Health & Social Care or Business Management PLUS significant experience in communication, partnership working, coproduction , project management to degree level equivalent
  • Knowledge of research-based evidence in planning implementing and evaluating in line with statutory duties under the Social Services and Wellbeing Act
  • Good knowledge of communication techniques
  • Understanding of Mental Health services, and the Together for Mental Health Agenda ; co-productio
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and social media
  • Knowledge of GDPR 2018 and understanding of the importance of confidentiality

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of client facing Engagement & co-production
  • Communications or participation qualification or experience for working in this field
  • Experience of report writing, minute taking and ability to multitask
  • Experience of working in a Partnership environment
