Job summary
The Workforce Intelligence Assistant will assist with the utilisation of Workforce Information systems and reporting;gathering and utilising workforce information to provide insights into workforce issues and guide decision making.
Supporting the Workforce Systems and Administration Manager, the post holder will support the deployment of the ESR Business Intelligence tool and organisational reporting of workforce information.
The post holder will be required to build credible and effective workingrelationships at all levels of Powys Teaching Health Board and with key staff in partner organisations both within and outside the NHS and public sector.
Handle sensitive, potentially contentious, and confidential information and data and use tact, diplomacy, and persuasive skills where cooperation is required, ensuring data is stored meeting all principles of Information Governance
Work closely with the HR Business Partner team in the provision of workforce information to aid delivery of strategic workforce objectives and monitor performance.
Support the design of Workforce Performance reporting mechanisms which deliver meaningful information and insight across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a high-quality Workforce Intelligence Service for the Health Board to support the Workforce and Organisational Development (OD) function.
- Support the delivery of Workforce Information Strategy (WfIS) by improving data quality and contributing to the implementation of the project within the Health Board.
- Work in collaboration with Managers and other departments, e.g. Finance and Payroll to provide information that is comparable, accurate and of a high quality.
- Provide and receive complex or sensitive information and present thisinformation in ways which is meaningful to the end user, following the format of previous reports.
- Administer information in the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) under supervision and develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of all aspects of ESR, as well as workforce configuration and modelling tools.
- Contribute to the provision of key workforce performance indicators to integrate into the performance management, reporting and performance improvement of the Health Board.
- Contribute to projects/initiatives/Task and Finish Groups within own work area.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the Workforce and OrganisationalDevelopment Directorate.
