The post holder will be the Project Manager for the implementation of the new Radiology Information System (RIS) and the all Wales Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) in Powys Teaching Health Board and have overall responsibility for the integrity and coherence of the project.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Digital Project Manager to join the Community Services Group in supporting the delivery of new Radiology Information System (RIS) and the all Wales Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) in Powys Teaching Health Board.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, with effective organisation and project management skills enabling them to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. A confident communicator with a keen eye for detail, they are able to confidently discuss complex information in an understandable way. They will be resilient, motivated, enthusiastic and willing to take initiative to ensure they and the Community Services Group succeed in their project goals.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential

  • Project or Programme Management qualification or significant demonstrable experience in managing complex projects using a robust methodology
  • IQT Bronze Award Training
  • Relevant degree or equivalent gained through specific relevant experience
  • Experience of hands on delivery and management of complex full lifecycle projects ideally within the NHS or a public sector organisation
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office
  • Evidence of designing, implementing and maintaining office document control systems
  • Evidence of compiling and producing high quality professional written reports and business cases

  • IQT Silver Award Training

  • Experience of working with staff to implement service improvements
