Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant Practitioner Psychologist to provide Professional Leadership within the Powys Living Well Service.

This is a senior position within our team and involves working in partnership with our Head of Service, Consultant Therapist, Health Board Head of Psychology, Senior Management Team colleagues across the Community Services Group and Primary Care Services, as well as having strong links into the Director of Therapies and Health Sciences directorate.

The Powys Living Well Service is an interdisciplinary team which prides itself on being innovative, effective,and friendly. It is a team which specialises in a biopsychosocial approach to the management oflong-termhealth conditions, including Pain Management, Fatigue Management, Long COVID Recovery and Rehabilitation and Level Three (Adult) Weight Management service.

The Professional Lead role is to support the Head of Powys Living Well Service to ensure robust governance, quality, and safety in the team, support the development of services, to implement digital systems to capture outcomes and performance and ensure that all psychology staff are met with compassionate leadership.

Main duties of the job

Key duties within this role entail working in partnership to ensure:

  • Comprehensive Psychology Workforce Planning.
  • Robust governance across the HCPC registered and non-registered psychology group.
  • Contributing to and leading wider Powys Living Well Service development initiatives.
  • Ensuring robust reporting mechanisms within the profession.
  • Delivering comprehensive CPD plans.
  • Contributing to the wider wellbeing and long terms conditions management agenda.
  • Developing the research and evaluation portfolio of the profession
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
