To provide advice support and care of women and their families duringthe preconceptual, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.Provide a full range of health, education and social care advice to womenwithin an integrated model of care covering pre-conception, antenatal,labour, birth and postnatal periods.Provide midwifery care in a range of environments through pregnancy,labour, birth and postnatal period for women and their babies.Work autonomously within departmental guidelines and sphere ofprofessional practice.
Main duties of the job

Due to exciting development within the maternity service, we are looking for a motivated midwife to join our midwifery team in Ystradgynlais.
We are looking for a band 6 midwife to work 37.5 hours per week as a permanent position and we offer a comprehensive induction package.
You will be joining a service with one of the highest home birth rates in Wales, a high physiological birth rate and the highest breastfeeding rate in Wales. You will be supporting women choosing to birth at one of our 6 free standing birth centres, 5 of which provide water birth facilities.
You will provide and coordinate antenatal and postnatal care for both midwife led care and consultant led women.
