Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Occupational Health team at Powys Teaching Health Board as a Consultant Nurse / Allied Health Professional within the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service.

The successful post holder will be an expert in their clinical practice, bringing innovation, influence and leadership to the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for:o The Operational Management of the Occupational Health and WellbeingDepartment.o Leading Occupational health activities to optimise employee health andwellbeing.o Leading the staff immunisation and appropriate Health Surveillanceprogrammes.o Leading the development and implementation of guidelines/protocols/policies relating to Occupational Health and Wellbeing.o Providing expert advice and support to functions across PTHB regardingcompliance with the legal and policy framework for Occupational Health and Health and Safety issues.o Providing strong clinical leadership to the OH Team as well as to the widerorganisation, integrating evidence-based research into clinical practice.o Overseeing and undertaking routine clinical Occupational Health dutiesincluding clinical assessment of employees, complex case management,health screening at employment, health surveillance, immunisations etc.o Working with line managers and Workforce and Organisational Development Team to minimise staff sickness absence.
