Corwen Family Practice is located in a newly redeveloped and expanded Health Board owned property in Corwen town centre. There is good access by public transport and about half of the 4,040 patient list live in Corwen town, the remainder in the various outlying villages. There are no branch surgeries but there is a dispensing chemist in town. We enjoy co-located District Nursing and Health Visiting as well as Primary Care Mental Health and Physiotherapy Practitioners. We train Cardiology specialist nurses and teach Medical Students from various Universities as well as participating in Primary Care Research. Our QOF achievement has been consistently high and we have very experienced Management and excellent Administrative support.
Our team of one Advanced Nurse Practitioner see most patients’ initial presentation with the GPs focusing mainly on more complex cases according to their skills and interests. There would be longer term support and opportunities for the successful candidate to develop and practice their own special interests within the practice.k
