Job summary
This post is for BANK sessions only. Available sessions will vary.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Specialist Speech and Language Therapists to join the Bank in BCUHB East speech and language therapy. Our Bank arrangements enable us to manage temporary changes in our team to maintain high quality clinical care for our patients. It provides SLTs with opportunities to work in different clinical areas and sites in our region, and work as part of our supportive and experienced team in a flexible and adaptable way.
Main duties of the job
SLTs joining our Band 7 Bank will be able to shape their work with us, according to clinical specialist skills and interests, and our service gaps at any time.
This might include working within our acute hospital team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, our community team across Wrexham and Flintshire, or our ALD and mental health service. Sessions may be available to provide direct clinical care or support training and service development initiatives.
We have a 'one team' approach across our service, benefitting from the same supportive network of clinical and administrative colleagues, and using the same systems to streamline our care to the population.
Sessions may be available at any time, Monday to Friday, from 1 to 5 days a week, with the potential for remote working, as well as direct work within our region.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
