An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 staff nurse to join our Special Care Baby Unit at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
The SuRNICC is the largest neonatal unit in North Wales and supports two Special Care Baby Units in Wrexham and Bangor. We are the focal point of the network of newborn care across North Wales.
We provide care for sick and preterm infants from 26 weeks gestation from across North Wales and beyond.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly team working to provide high standard family centred care for our patients and families.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 5 registered nurse, you will carry out clinical practice ensuring high quality and current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for patients is provided from admission through to discharge. Working as partners in care at all times with the parents and families to provide family centred care.
We have great education and development opportunities, thanks to our close links with our local universities, along with induction and orientation. You will be supported and will gain the opportunity to enhance your skills through continuing professional development. It is a requirement of the role on SCBU that you need to complete the Neonatal QIS course, and will be supported with this.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
