Job summary
We are looking to appoint a substantive Consultant in Dermatology. This is a full time post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Dermatologist to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary dermatology care in North Wales.
The successful candidate must possess a primary medical degree, Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice, CCT/CCST in Dermatology and inclusion on the GMC specialist register for Dermatology
Main duties of the job
To provide dermatology outpatient services to patients in collaboration with nursing and medical colleagues.
To provide dermatological inpatient care and specialist advice for inpatients in Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
To share responsibility for professional standards and quality control within the dermatology services ensuring compliance with standards which satisfy clinical governance.
To develop dermatological service with other consultant colleagues in recognition of regional and national guidelines where appropriate.
To share in providing emergency cover for colleague's study/annual leave or illness.
To develop and implement clinical audit programmes within the Dermatology Departments and in collaboration with other clinical groups.
To participate in service development and business planning in collaboration with other consultant colleagues and the wider health community.
To provide training opportunities for undergraduates and postgraduates in dermatology.
