Job summary
Do you have experience of working at a strategic level in public health? Are you interested in improving population health across North Wales? We are currently recruiting to a Principal Public Health Practitioner to join the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) Public Health team on a permanent basis.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is passionate about public health, has extensive experience of partnership working and has successfully delivering outcomes to improve population health. You will be responsible for leading on a range of healthcare public health objectives, as well as in the areas of public health intelligence and research.
The position is based in the BCUHB Preswylfa Office in Mold or in Bryn Tirion in Bryn y Neuadd Hospital in Llanfairfechan. The post-holder should also be prepared to travel across the North Wales area to attend face-to-face meetings when required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
This is a great opportunity to develop and influence the public health agenda and tackle inequalities; the post-holder will be working in the areas of healthcare public health and public health intelligence and research to improve the health of the population of North Wales.
