Clinical Pharmacy Technician - Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery

Job summary

The Welsh Government has invested in the development of a new elective orthopaedic hub at Llandudno General Hospital where the BCUHB service is being centralised. New £29.4m Elective Orthopaedic Hub at Llandudno Hospital takes shape - Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. There is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced pharmacy technician to become a vital part of this project by supporting with safe, effective medication usage and optimisation and opioid stewardship.

There will be opportunities for the successful candidate to integrate within the multidisciplinary team and support with implementing clinical guidelines. You will join our BCUHB Central surgical pharmacy team and also support with developing the pharmacy POAC service. You will be encouraged to undertake quality improvement initiatives, develop staff and patient education and support with incident reviews.

Main duties of the job

You will be self-motivated with excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
