Job summary
To take an active role providing support to the Infection Prevention team in the delivery of the Healthboard Infection Prevention Strategic Improvement Plan within the competencies of the role.
Main duties of the job
To assist and support the Infection Prevention team with the delivery of the Infection Prevention Improvement plan.
To lead in Infection Prevention audit activities e.g Environmental monitoring audit, Hand hygiene audit, Isolation audit, care bundle compliance and report findings to the Infection Prevention Matron.
To undertake surveillance activities as directed including basic data collection to support surveillance programmes (demographics, device utilization etc).
Ensure Infection Prevention posters and other materials are displayed correctly across the hospital.
Assist in other duties as appropriate to competency.
Organise and prioritise workload with direction and supervision of the senior members of the Infection Prevention Team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
